Activities A certified occupational therapy assistant directs recreational activities. The goal of activities is to maximize the quality of life and independence of the
clients. Activities are adapted to focus on clients' abilities, allowing them to be successful and promote necessary feelings of self-worth. Activities may include crafts, baking and cooking, music therapy, games, live entertainment and exercise.
Intergenerational
Activities Clients have the opportunity to participate in intergenerational visits with
the children from Columbia-St. Mary's Children's School. Group activities such as sharing stories,
playing games, singing, baking, crafts and gardening help bring the two generations together
on a daily basis. The intergenerational programs foster socialization, learning
and mutual respect between the generations.
Outings Clients enjoy
taking trips to restaurants, festivals, and other points of interest on the
wheelchair-accessible Milwaukee Catholic Home bus. |
