Physical/Occupational/Speech/Respiratory Therapy
The Health Center offers the professional services of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy and respiratory therapy. Physician orders are needed for these services and goals are coordinated with the resident, their family, the physician and the staff.
Beauty/Barber Shop
Our beauty/barber shop is located on the lower level and provides services such as haircuts, styling, perms, tints and manicures.
Dental Office
A dentist comes to Milwaukee Catholic Home by appointment and for emergency services. Residents may keep their own dentist, but many do enjoy the convenience of using a dentist located right on the campus. Appointments for the dentist can be arranged through the nursing staff. Billing is done directly by the dental office.
Podiatrist
Podiatry visits are made to the Health and Rehabilitation Center's residents on a bi-monthly basis. When a resident needs to see the podiatrist, appointments are made through the nursing department. Billing is done directly by the podiatrist.
Audiologist
When residents express a need for a hearing aid or if staff assess a resident's hearing deficiency, the resident may need to see an audiologist. The nursing staff can make an appointment for the resident after a consultation with the attending physician. Billing is done directly by the audiologist's office.
Eye Care
The services of professional opticians, optometrists and ophthalmologists are available to our residents at Milwaukee Catholic Home on a monthly basis. Routine repairs and adjustments will be done on site as well as eye exams and the purchase of new glasses. Billing is done by the professional's office.
Psychiatrist
Milwaukee Catholic Home has its own in-house psychiatrist. Residents have the advantage of being evaluated in their own environment causing less disruption and allowing for a more complete and accurate assessment. |
