Family and
Resident Comments:
Dear Milwaukee Catholic Home Staff,
On this eve of Thanksgiving, we would like to express our deepest
gratitude, once again, for the extraordinary care you give to Adeline…
friendly reassurance, feeding her, (as her talking often prevents nourishment),
creating a cozy nest in her chair, brushing her teeth, reading the notes and
more. You dance with her, laugh at
her jokes, and redirect her with calmness on her difficult days, all of which
provide her with the highest quality of life that one could experience in a
nursing home.
Dad sleeps soundly because he has gained trust in the care you provide
his wife, and I too feel comfort in knowing that Mom is most safe in your hands.
We can never t hank God enough for
sending us this world of blessings called the Milwaukee Catholic Home.
Sometimes as I think of this supreme gift, my heart simply bursts with
joy.
May the wealth of goodness you
give to Adeline and the other residents, come back to you in tenfold.
May God provide you with radiant health and strength as you continue to
enrich so many precious lives..
With Abundant Love and Gratitude,
Karen and John Owens
Dear
Milwaukee Catholic Home,
Our
mother, Marie Cretney, was in your amazing care at the time of her death on
November 30, 2009.
Over the
last few years, I have had many, many experiences with hospitals, rehabilitation
facilities, and nursing services related to my mother and my mother-in-law.
The Milwaukee Catholic Home is light years ahead of the facilities I’ve
seen. I didn’t think a place such
as yours existed. I truly believe
that you have raised care of the elderly (and in my mother’s case the dying)
to a very high level.
I thank
you from the bottom of my heart for the care that was given to my mother by your
staff. I was touched over and over
again by the kindness shown to my dear mother.
I will always remember that in this very trying time, Mom was given the
most compassionate care possible. I
also would like to add a very special thank you to two very special nurses, Rose
Marie & Karen, and to Father Chuck and Anne from the Chaplain’s office.
Anne, in particular, was so kind and supportive.
In
closing, I can only ask God to bless you for all you do. I hope that someday, your level of care will be the standard
for the elderly and dying all over the world.
Sincerely,
Mary
Cretney
